Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. on the first day of class. Subsequent class hours begin at 9:00 a.m.
Due to the nature of the work done in this course, afternoon lab session ending times cannot be pre-determined - most stay as late as 6:30-7:30 p.m. each day in order to have lab completion, and slightly earlier on the last day. We advise that you do not make evening commitments as session ending times vary. Please plan accordingly.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
You may have heard that Dr. John compared imagery and dialoguing to "talking to yourself". Essentially, SomatoEmotional Release Technique: Mastering the Inner Physician (SERTIP) helps you better understand how to successfully incorporate this powerful method into your sessions. This course integrates CST with what Carl Jung called "active imagination" - a way to bridge the gap between the non-conscious and the conscious. Along with imagery and conversation, active imagination can include dream work and art. All of these things can go a long way in helping you to know yourself better and in so doing, know how to help your client better.
This class will focus on combining various Gestalt techniques from Fritz Perls, with Roberto Assagioli's Psychosynthesis ideas. You will learn how to actually become the objects that appear in your personal sessions, to recognize the foreground and background in a given scenario, to become more aware of being in the here and now. Most importantly, this experiential approach will help you identify and explore your various inner characters or “subpersonalities."
Discovering and integrating the various characters that live within us can be vital in helping us become more authentic, understanding human beings. As course developer Stan Gerome has said many times throughout the years. "The most valuable tool a therapist can bring to a session is a more integrated therapist”.

TUITION FEE
700 EUR exluding travel, food and lodging expenses.
PAYMENT METHOD AND CONDITIONS
Participation Fee can be paid either in cash of via bank transfer. In case of bank transfer please indicate your name and the course code (SERTIP_2023) in the Description/Note section. Tuition fee includes 150 EUR Registration Fee that is to be paid at registration. In case of cancellation Registration Fee is not refunded.
CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION
Cancellation deadline free of liquidated damages: the 42nd day prior the first day of the course. The amount of liquidated damages in case of a cancellation of 42-35 days prior the first day of the course is 50% of the Tuition Fee, and in case of a cancellation of 35-28 days prior the first day of the course it is 70% of the Tuition Fee. In case of a cancellation within 28 days prior the first day of the course, the amount of liquidated damages is the total Tuition Fee.

Complete and bring it with you to the class. Your instructor will ask for it on the first morning of class.
The following recommendations have been prepared by the Upledger Institute Faculty after decades of experience in teaching CranioSacral Therapy. These guidelines will help ensure that you will be well prepared to get the most benefit in your next step of training. Preparation and practice time will lead to more confidence, deeper learning in class, and better outcomes for your patients.
As a student transitioning into SomatoEmotional Release Technique: Mastering the Inner Physician (SERTIP), prior to SERTIP attendance, it is highly recommended that you:
- Review the SomatoEmotional Release 1 study guide
- Continue practicing arcing for energy cysts - arc at the beginning of every session
- Continue practicing regional tissue release of energy cysts, with SD
- Continue using whole body evaluation and treatment in your treatment sessions
- Continue using and receiving mouth work protocols
- Give 5 or more sessions that incorporate dialoguing
