STUDENTS
We kindly ask you to dedicate sufficient time to find the therapist that suits your needs, personal situation, as well as, the professional and ethical requirements the most. This guideline below helps you in this process.
Upledger Institute Hungary is exclusively entitled to provide official CranioSacral Therapy education programs in Hungary. We provide our students with the highest level of education and professional support. It enables us to maintain our international reputation and market leader position gained on the field of light-touch therapy education.
Unfortunately, due to our educational success, the number of unofficial courses offered and held without the relevant professional background, certificate and permission has grown significantly in Hungary too. Therapists with the certificate acquired at these unofficial courses - even driven by good will - are not entitled to bear the title “CranioSacral Therapist”. I addition, with the unauthorized usage of techniques driven from uncertified source, these therapists endanger the patients’ health and the reputation of CranioSacral Therapy.
In case in any forum you find someone offering CranioSacral Therapy, or therapists promoting themselves as CranioSacral Therapists, please make sure to check, whether the therapist in question is listed in the international or domestic database of The Upledger Institute.
All the names and contacts of students who completed the courses by us can be found on our international and domestic websites. However, attending a particular course does not mean that the student has mastered the professional principles, theory and practical techniques described in the program. Neither proves it whether the student has the knowledge and experience necessary for the safe and efficient practice of CranioSacral therapy or the required permissions. The right for bearing the title ‘CranioSacral Therapist’ and treating children under the age of nine is subject by the Institute to further courses and exams.
By selecting the “Therapist recommended for general treatment” check box, you can obtain the names and contacts of therapists whom you can turn to with trust with any kinds of ailments according to the recommendation of Upledger Institute Hungary, in case of patients older than nine years of age. The recommendation of the Institute was determined by the undermentioned factors: level of education of the therapist, number of UIH advanced studies, time spent in practice, clinical experiences, active role in the life of the Institute, frequency level of participation at study groups, patients’ feedbacks, additional qualifications, as well as, professional and human features (e.g.: empathy, humbleness).
By selecting the “Therapist recommended for treating children” check box, you can obtain the names and contacts of therapists you can turn to with trust in case of patients younger than nine, according to the recommendation of Upledger Institute Hungary. These professionals have successfully completed at least the first 3 levels of CranioSacral Therapist Education, taken part in the advanced course of ‘CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics 1’. Moreover, they possess the necessary palpation abilities, practice and experience to treat newborns, infants and children, as well as, families as a whole.
By selecting the “Therapist recommended for demo treatment” check box, you can find professionals who possess the qualification, education and practice for demo treatment that is a prerequisite of participation in ‘CranioSacral Therapy 1’ course.
By selecting the “Therapist recommended for treating children under the age of nine” check box, you can find the names and contacts of therapists, who after completing successfully the first three levels of ‘CranioSacral Therapist Course’ participated in the ‘CranioSacral Therapy for Pediatrics 1’ advanced course. However, attending a particular course does not mean that the student has the knowledge and experience necessary for treating newborns, infants, children and the whole family.
By selecting the “Therapist with International Certification (CST-T)” check box, you can find therapists, who after completing successfully ‘CranioSacral Therapy 1’ and ‘CranioSacral Therapy 2’ courses, have passed the ‘Craniosacral Therapy Techniques Certification’ (CST-T) International Exam. The right for the title ‘CranioSacral Therapist’ is subject to the successful CST-T exam by The Upledger Institute International. In order to keep the certified status, therapists have to comply with several requirements assigned by the Institute, this way ensuring the therapists to possess up-to-date professional knowledge and practice. More information on certification levels can be found under http://craniosacralis.hu/kepzesek/vizsgak/.
